3. Click and drag the Realmz Portraits file from the RIFLE folder to the Realmz folder
That's it! Simple. The next time you start up Realmz, the new interface will take over.
Installing The New Icons
1. Make a copy of Realmz 2.4
2. Open your new copy of Realmz 2.4 with ResEdit.
3. Open the Iconica file with ResEdit.
4. Choose Select All from the Edit menu (or press ‚åò-a) to select all resources in the Iconica file.
5. Choose Copy from the Edit menu (or press ‚åò-c) to copy them.
6. Click on the Realmz 2.4 resources window and choose Paste from the Edit menu (or press ‚åò-v) to paste the resources in.
7. Click "Yes" in the dialog box that appears to replace the old resources with the new.
8. Choose save from the file menu (or press ‚åò-s)
9. Quit ResEdit. You're done. You will probably need to rebuild the desktop of the disk containing your new Realmz 2.4 to see the new icons.
There is something you need to be aware of if you are going to use the Iconica set. Included with this package is a file entitled Iconica.org This file contains the original icons from the game. If you receive an update for Realmz you will need to follow the steps above to replace the new icons with the originals. The updaters used by Fantasoft compare your file with what should be there. If you have the new icons installed, it will assume you do not have the appropriate version of the game to update. We're sorry, but there is little we can do about this. If it bothers you, throw away the Iconica files and never use them. They are only intended to make the files more aesthetic.
